Minot woman charged with conspiring to deliver heroin
A 32-year-old Minot woman is accused of conspiracy to deliver heroin.
Janelle Duncanson made an initial appearance in district court in Minot on Wednesday.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Minot police arrested Alex Weston, an acquaintance of Duncanson, on Monday, searched Weston’s phone and found a Facebook messenger conversation on it in which Duncanson said she could arrange to get heroin for Weston. Police used Weston’s phone to set up a meeting with Duncanson and arranged to buy two grams of heroin from her for $500. Duncanson was arrested on an outstanding warrant near the Superpumper in Minot on Monday evening. A bench warrant for her arrest was issued on Nov. 23 after she allegedly failed to make a court apperance on a Class A misdemeanor theft of property charge.
Duncanson is charged with a Class A felony that carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
