How would you describe your style?

I would describe my photographic style as conceptual- each photograph an attempt to encompass a thought, emotion or story in a single image.

Who would you say have been influences on your work?

So many artists! Locally, I am always inspired by Shane Balkowitsch and his work in the historical wet plate collodion process. In addition, I am always grateful for the advice and support of established local photographers like Dustin White, Mike and John LaLonde and so many more.

Are there particular themes you like to explore in your work?

Storytelling is one of my favorite themes to explore. I am particularly drawn to create images that explore the emotional breadth of the human experience.

What do you most enjoy about the creative process?

I most appreciate exploring the new places photography has taken me and the people I have met along the way. Scouting new locations and collaborating with artists, models and photographers introduced to my new community. North Dakota has a strong local art scene that I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of.

Tell us a little about yourself.

I just moved to North Dakota for school last year and I am still exploring and learning about the area. If you are interested in working together on a photography project, I would love to hear from you!
