Dwight Yoakam shares blue grass spirit

Country legend Dwight Yoakam will grace the stage at 4 Bears Casino and Lodge, Saturday at 7 p.m., to perform hits from his latest album, “Swimming Pools, Movie Stars.”
Hailed as a honky tonk extraordinare, Yoakam has sold more than 25 million records with chart-topping songs “Guitars, Cadillacs,” “I sang Dixie,” and “Turn It On, Turn It Up, Turn Me Loose” along with numerous favorites and notable classics.
To commemorate the 30-year anniversary of “Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc.,” the “Honky Tonk Man” singer is celebrating with a nationwide tour.
Throughout the illustrious career of the “Swimming Pools, Movie Stars” performer, Dwight Yoakam can be considered a country purist who honors the golden age of country music.
Inspired by childhood memories of Kentucky, “Swimming Pools, Movie Stars” is an album that reflects the passion and love that Dwight Yoakam feels for blue grass music.
