Boys Golf: Bishop Ryan among Class B state qualifiers

The Bishop Ryan boys golf team qualified for the state tournament for the first time since 2013 after its fourth-place finish at the Regions 3 & 4 Tournament at Jamestown Country Club on Tuesday, May 26. The Lions punched their ticket by a single stroke over Valley City, grabbing the fourth and final spot, as the top four teams from each of the three regional tournaments played across the state qualified for the state tournament. Minot North's Justin Lauf resigns

Justin Lauf, head coach of the Minot North girls' basketball team, has resigned as head basketball coach. Lauf started the varsity basketball program at Minot North and has been with the school for four years. According to Minot Public Schools Activities Director Mitch Lunde, the search for a replacement for Coach Lauf will begin immediately.

The Minot High boys golf team was unable to seize the WDA Tournament title after walking away with the regular season crown, but did ensure it will be one of six West Region teams participating at the state tournament next week.
