Boys Hockey: Bradley nets 2, Minot United closes strong in win over Dickinson

Minot United junior forward Easton Bradley continued his torrid goal-scoring streak with a pair of goals as Minot United netted five in the third period to cement a 6-0 victory over Dickinson on Friday, Jan. 23.

After a scoreless first period and nearly a scoreless second period, Minot United broke through with 43 seconds left in the stanza with a power-play goal from Brady Grosz.

Grosz’s goal on the power play was the first of three consecutive markers with the man advantage. Tate Haugenoe added to Minot United’s lead 1:03 into the third and Bradley registered his first of the night two minutes later to put their advantage to 3-0.

Minot United (15-3-0-0 overall, 12-1-0-0 WDA) fired 18 shots on net in the final period, getting five past Dickinson netminder Parker Roers. Bradley’s second goal of the night completed a three-point night for the junior, assisting on Haugenoe’s goal at the beginning of the period. Bradley has scored at least one goal in each of the last seven games and has a three-game streak of netted two. He recorded a hat trick against Williston on Jan. 5, and has 13 goals in 17 games this season. He is currently tied for fifth with the most goals amongst West Region teams.

Blake Haaland and Dane Voeller punctuated a five-goal third period for Minot United, who holds a four-point lead at the top of the standings over Bismarck Legacy.

Minot United goaltender Canton Christians earned his second shutout performance of the season, stopping all 17 shots he faced.

Minot United travels to play Jamestown on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at Wilson Arena.
