Phase two of Souris Valley Slugfest underway

The Souris Valley Slugfest for the 10U, 12U and 14U teams is set for Friday, June 28, through Sunday, June 30, with teams from North Dakota and Canada. The 10U division and 12U division each have eight teams while the 14U division has seven.
The 10U games will take place at the South Hill Complex. The 12U and 14U games will be played at the Jack Hoeven Park.
In the 10U division there are two pools. The Minot Aces are joined by Williston 10U, Carnduff Astros and Redvers A’s in Pool A while Mandan Mavericks, Oildome Riggers, Missouri River Naturals and Parkland Brewers are in Pool B for the tournament.
Minot played Redvers A’s on Friday and will face Williston 10U and the Carnduff Astros Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. respectively with pool seeding for the games Sunday.
The 12U division has two pools. The Minot Aces are joined by Estevan Brewers, Devils Lake Firebird and White Butte Broncos in Pool A while Williston 12U, Mandan Mavericks, Saskatoon Braves and Bismarck Americans 12AAA are in Pool B.
Minot played White Butte Broncos on Friday and will face the Devils Lake FIrebirds and Estevan Brewers Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. respectively for seeding for the Sunday games.
In the 14U division there are two pools. Minot is joined by Dickinson Pony Express, Bismarck Americans AAA – Navy and Bismarck Americans AAA – Red in the Navy Pool. Regina Wolfpack, Regina Renegades and KBL SeLects are in Pool Yellow.
Minot played the Regina Renegades on Friday and will face the Bismarck Americans AAA – Red at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and Regina Wolfpack at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning prior to seeding for the rest of Sunday’s games.
