Four Majettes on Class A Softball All State Team

FARGO – The North Dakota High School Coaches Association (NDHSCA) announced its 2024 NDHSCA Class A Softball All-State Team voted on exclusively by the state’s softball coaches. Minot High was well represented in the voting with a pair of seniors and a pair of juniors.

Minot High senior Ellington Anderson enjoyed a stellar season. She was 53-for-90 batting for a .589 average. She had 35 singles, five doubles, nine triples and four home runs. The senior added 32 RBIs and scored 69 runs. She was walked 36 times and was only struck out eight times. Defensively, Ellington had 43 total catches with two being assists and 40 being putouts.

Fellow senior Isabelle Anderson also had a stellar season. She was 50-for-100 at the plate for a .500 average with 31 singles, ten doubles, seven triples and a pair of home runs. She recorded 42 RBIs and scored 25 runs on the year. Isabelle was walked 28 times and struck out 20 times. Defensively Isabella had 139 total catches with 17 assists and 120 putouts for the season.

Minot High junior Halle Baker enjoyed a stellar year. She was 44-for-107 at the plate with a .411 average. She hit 26 singles, 11 doubles, four triples and three home runs. She also had 46 RBIs and scored 45 runs. Baker was walked 17 times and struck out 28 times.

Baker pitched just over 76 innings and threw 1099 pitches. She faced 340 batters and allowed 40 runs on 83 hits with an earned run mark of 38 runs. She walked 31 batters and recorded 44 strikeouts for an 11-3 record. Defensively, she had 70 total catches with 39 being assists and 25 being putouts.

Junior Sydnee Bartsch showcased several talents for Minot High. She was 56-for-113 batting for a .496 average. She hit 33 singles, 16 doubles, six triples and one home run. She tallied 40 RBIs and scored 51 runs. She was walked 13 times and only struck out five times.

As a pitcher, Bartsch faced 317 batters and allowed 46 runs on 63 hits with an earned run mark of 33 runs. She walked 38 batters and recorded 52 strikeouts while throwing 1034 pitches for a 10-3 record. Defensively, she had 59 catches with nine being assists and 49 being putouts.

Minot High finished the season with a 28-6 record, a second place finish at the 2024 Western Dakota Association softball tournament and a fourth place finish at the 2024 NDHSAA Class A Softball State Tournament.
