Burke, Zimmer earn GPAC baseball honors
JAMESTOWN – University of Jamestown teammates Chase Burke and Luke Zimmer have earned Great Plains Athletic (GPAC) Conference baseball honors for the 2024 season.
Burke, a junior outfielder from Minot High was a second team all-GPAC selection after batting .323 with four home runs, 26 RBIs and 38 runs scored. Burke also led the GPAC in stolen bases with 27 and was caught stealing only three times.
Zimmer, a sophomore pitcher from Velva was an honorable mention selection after posting a record of 5-3 with a 3.99 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 56.1 innings.
The Jimmies finished the season with a 31-19 record.
