Mandan volleyball HC Folk resigns

Anna Folk, the head volleyball coach for the Mandan Braves, has announced her resignation effective immediately.

Folk has worked with the program for the past 14 years. In the ten years that Folk served as head coach, Mandan achieved an overall record of 203-164. They had five state tournament berths, finishing in second place in 2017. Coach Folk helped generate 18 WDA All-Conference players and 10 All-State players.

Meanwhile, Mandan athletic director, Mark Wiest, had this to say about the former Braves voleyball mentor. “Coach Folk has done an exceptional job with the Mandan Braves. She worked steadily in building the program and has taken it to another level. She led the Braves to some incredible seasons and accomplishments. I appreciate the excitement, dedication and passion she brought every day to the program. Anna has always represented Mandan High School with class and dignity. Anna will not only be missed as our head coach, but amongst her peers throughout the state.”

A search for coach Folk’s replacement will begin immediately.
