Majettes swim and dive earns second place at Capital City Invite
BISMARCK — Early Saturday morning, the Minot High School girls swim and dive team put together a strong showing at the Capital City Invite in Bismarck. The Majettes’ 501 points secured a second-place finish.
Century accumulated 524 points and finished in first place. Legacy took third with 281 points.
Swim
The Minot quartet of Jordn Wolsky (30.53), Havanna Metzger (35.52), Emily Brugman (29.12) and Sam VonBokern (26.56) took second place in the 200-yard medley relay. Elise Altringer (2:07.62) secured second place in the 200-yard freestyle.
Wolsky (1:03.29) also finished second in the 100-yard butterfly. Payton Luzardo (57.52) claimed second place in the 100-yard freestyle, while VonBokern (57.83) finished directly behind her.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Luzardo (26.89), VonBokern (27.56), Brynn Neumann (27.07) and Altringer (26.73) seized second place. Luzardo (58.06), Brugman (58.71), Wolsky (56.55) and Altringer (58.64) finished second behind Century.
Dive
The Majettes earned three of the 1-meter diving event’s top five spots. Bella Price (388.45) finished in first place, while Ella Kesler (375.85) took second. Haley Conklin (363.85) contributed a fourth-place finish.
Minot will compete again at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Bismarck.
