Minot Aces competing in Cal Ripken regionals

CHADRON, Neb. — Representing the state of North Dakota, the Minot Aces baseball team is in Chadron, Nebraska, this weekend for the Cal Ripken U12 Major/70 Midwest Plains Regional.

The Aces won the North Dakota state tournament last weekend in Williston to qualify for the regional tournament.

Minot joins the seven best teams from Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Minnesota. The winner of the regional tournament advances to the Cal Ripken World Series Tournament in Branson, Missouri.

The Minot U12 team reached the Cal Ripken World Series in 2017.

The regional tournament this weekend features three pool play games with a four-team single elimination tournament on Sunday to decide the winner.
