The Expedition League All-Star Extravaganza will be held next week at Corbett Field in Minot.

The festivities will kick off Monday with the All-Star Fan Fest presented by Visit Minot, starting at 6 p.m. The event will feature autograph sessions with the All-Star representatives from each team and batting practice to which fans can watch. There will also be food and entertainment for the fans to enjoy.

The evening’s festivities will be highlighted by the 2019 All-Star Home Run Derby, where 10 of the best power hitters from around the Expedition League will be competing against each other to see who the league’s best slugger is.

Contestants will be paired up with fans who they will represent for a chance to win great prizes.

Bo McClintock will serve as the Sabre Dogs’ representative.

Tickets for the event are $5.

On Tuesday, the day will kick off with a luncheon hosted at the Sleep Inn and Suites of Minot with all the players, coaches and several special guests from the community. The event’s food will be catered by Homesteaders and will start at noon.

The festivities will conclude later that night with the main event: the 2019 Expedition League All-Star Game presented by Farmers Union Insurance. The best collegiate talent from around the country will be right here in Minot to take each other on.

The teams will be split by the two divisions in the league; the Lewis and Clark divisions.

Representing the Sabre Dogs will be Mason Dinesen, Chauncey Callier, Phillip Childs, Crews Taylor, Zavian Caldwell, George Loxtercamp and Bradley Spooner.

Miss North Dakota USA Samantha Redding and Miss North Dakota Teen USA Caitlyn Vogel will be performing the national anthem before the game. A flyover from a B-52 bomber from Minot Air Force Base will follow immediately afterward. Throughout the event, national entertainment act Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act will be performing many of his signature acts, balancing everything from tables to ladders and even some bats as well.

Tickets for the event will be similar to that of a regular Sabre Dogs game.
