Minot High baseball blanks St. Mary’s twice

The Minot High School baseball team posted two shutout wins over Bismarck St. Mary’s on Tuesday at Corbett Field by scores of 10-0 and 6-0.

On the mound, Brock Nesheim picked up the win in Game 1. MHS open the contest with three runs in the first inning and never looked back.

Chase Burke racked up four RBIs, going 2-for-4 at the plate. Dylan Vigested went 3-for-3 with three RBIs.

Vigested then took to the mound for Game 2 and picked up the win. The Magi held a 1-0 lead into the fifth inning before scoring five unanswered runs across the next two innings.

Jack Plemel and Alex Schimke each had two hits in the contest.

Next up, the Magi are on the road Thursday at Jamestown for a conference doubleheader starting at 4:30 p.m.
