Majettes fall to West Fargo, 4-1

FARGO — The Minot High School girls hockey team (5-5-0) suffered a 4-1 loss on the road to the West Fargo (6-7-0) on Friday.

The Majettes struggled to get past a feisty West Fargo defense all night, failing to find the back of the net until midway through the third period. Junior Carson Abrahamson scored the team’s lone goal off an assist from O’Malley Eslinger with 10:54 left in regulation, but the four-point deficit was too much to overcome.

West Fargo finished the game with 35 shots on goal compared to Minot High’s 21 shots on goal. Sophomore goalie Amber Borkhuis tallied 31 saves in the loss.

Up next for the Majettes is their second of what is a four-game road trip, where they’ll travel to the Fargo Coliseum to take on Fargo South today at 12:30 p.m.
