June’s average temp colder than average
The past month of June had an average temperature of 61.3 degrees, which was 1.6 degrees colder than the 117-year long-term average of 62.9 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau, research specialist at the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot.
He said the lowest temperature of the month was 41 degrees on June 19 and the high was 82 degrees on both June 13 and June 25.
The total moisture for the month was 3.66 inches, which is 0.45 inches above the long- term average of 3.21 inches, Kraklau said.
