Trump does not read

Gene Nygaard

Crosby

Of course, we all know that Donald J. Trump doesn’t read. The last book he read himself likely involved Dick and Jane.

Those books should probably be updated, so Donald can take up reading again: “See Josh. See Josh run. Run, Josh, run!” with a picture of Rep. Hawley fleeing from the armed rioters Donald loves so much, who he had sicced on the Capitol of the United States. And who Josh Hawley himself had saluted earlier while he felt safe behind the barriers with Capitol Police between him and the mob.

We know that nowadays Donald doesn’t read anything longer than a short paragraph, and even that usually a line at a time from a teleprompter. The only thing he reads regularly are chyrons on his television screen–and even then mostly when he sees his name there. As president, the only way he’d read his daily security briefings was if they were condensed down to only one short paragraph, and even then the Intelligence officers had to throw in a couple of pictures to get his attention.

Just curious. Since we know that Donald Trump doesn’t read, and didn’t pay any attention to classified briefings while he was President, why in the world did he even want boxes and boxes of Secret and Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented Information classified materials at Mar A Lago? Who was going to read them? What was he planning to do with them?
