City needs to be cleaned
Mark Gaarder, Minot
While out walking my dogs this morning, I passed a lady walking on Fourth Avenue Northwest with a plastic bag in her hand picking up litter along the avenue. I talked briefly with her and gave her my heartfelt thank you for her selfless work.
It’s been over two years now since the flood turned our once beautiful valley into the condition it is in today. The woman said she was just tired of seeing the litter. I agreed and went on with my walk. But in reflecting as I walked on I thought how nice it would be if there were more people like this lady and how quickly the valley would be returned to its once beautiful state. Thank you to those that have the love and pride it takes to step up and do something.
