What has occurred thus far in the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump bears little resemblance to a criminal trial — and that is appropriate. Music is all around us and something the Minot community does at its very best. This is the season of concerts and other programs from elementary, middle school and senior high school students to college plus numerous other vocal and instrumental groups performing. The Minot community has many fine music instructors, many of them focusing on high-level music scores for the concerts presented. This past week an honor was bestowed upon Minot and its residents for having the most outstanding community support to an Air Force Global Strike Command base. That base is Minot Air Force Base. The award was presented during the 2019 Global Strike Challenge scoreposting held at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana this past Wednesday. Let’s not meddle in Iran

In comparison to this country, Iran has some of the lowest gasoline prices in the world, at about 39 cents per gallon. But they are going up to about 50 cents — and stiff rationing is being instituted. Drivers buying more than 13 gallons per week will have to pay twice the minimum. How is this possible in a county that possesses the fourth-largest petroleum reserves in the world (behind only Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and Canada)?
