Party in the Park at Garrison set for Saturday

GARRISON – Party in the Park at Garrison on Saturday will have a variety of events. The Aw Shucks Corn Fest in City Park runs from 2-6 p.m. and includes corn shucking and watermelon eating contests, free corn on the cob, free Wally Trolley rides and face painting. There will be a pet and doll parade at 5:30 p.m. The Sakakawea Classic Car Show will be from noon-4 p.m. on Main Street. That day concludes with The Waddington Brothers performing at 5:30 p.m. and The Bromantics at 7 p.m. Both performances are in City Park. There is an admission charge for the performances.

Habitat for Humanity receives Wells Fargo grant

The Wells Fargo Foundation has awarded a $15,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity Northern Lights to repair and renovate a home in Minot. On Thursday, Wells Fargo volunteers will join the Northern Lights team to prepare the home for interior paint and flooring. They also will provide lawn care and tree maintenance.
