Jolene Renolds
Feb. 2, 1943-Dec. 31, 2025
West Fargo
Jolene Alice Reynolds, 82, of West Fargo, formerly of New Town, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in her home, under the care of Sanford Hospice and Beyond Cares home healthcare and surrounded by her loving daughters.
Jolene was born on February 2, 1943, to Edward and Eleanor Beringer in Perham, Minnesota. She attended public and Lutheran schools in Perham and graduated from high school in 1961. After becoming a licensed cosmetologist in 1962, Jolene continued her education at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where she graduated in 1966.
On May 21, 1966, Jolene married the love of her life, Kenneth Reynolds. Soon after their marriage, they joined the Peace Corps, beginning a life defined by service, compassion, and adventure. Together, they raised four children who were the center of Jolene’s world: Todd (Deb), Craig (Becky), Andrea (Milt Aus), and Jennifer (Eric Iverson).
Jolene was a proud and devoted grandmother to ten grandchildren: Hayden Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds, Nicholas (Becca) Reynolds, Jenalee (Branson) Lucas, Malina Reynolds, Hunter Aus, Gavin Aus, Kylie Aus, Gabe Iverson, and Alex Iverson. She was also blessed with two great-granddaughters, Avery Reynolds and Kennedy Aus, who brought her immense joy.
Ken and Jolene lived in Rolla and Bottineau, North Dakota, before settling in New Town in 1977. During her years in New Town, Jolene dedicated 17 years of service as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician with the New Town Community Ambulance. Her calm presence, willingness to help, and generous heart left a lasting impact on countless lives in the community.
Jolene found joy in simple, creative pleasures. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, and growing flowers. Her creativity eventually led her to start a home-based machine embroidery business, a pursuit that brought her pride and happiness and allowed her to share her talents with others.
Jolene is survived by her four children; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Stoll; her uncle, Al (Marcie) Koennicke; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth; her parents, Edward and Eleanor Beringer; her sister, Jeannine Clarksean (Henry); and her brother-in-law, Louis Stoll.
Jolene was a fierce prayer warrior. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, servant’s heart, and deep love for her family. Her legacy of kindness and care lives on in all who were blessed to know her.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Sanford Hospice team and Jolene’s in-home caregivers–Tisha Nair, Clara Chinoruma, Olive Mugwaneza, Charmaine Ruzawe, and Lizzy Rono–for their exceptional care, kindness, and for preserving Jolene’s dignity and quality of life.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Jolene’s life with a memorial donation to Sanford Hospice, your local hospice chapter, or the Alzheimer’s Association, in gratitude for the compassionate care and support she and our family received.
