Troy Selzler, 62, Fargo, ND, formerly of Minot, ND, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025, in his home.

Troy John Selzler was born December 26, 1963, the son of John and Phyllis (Schiff) Selzler, in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Velva, graduating from Velva High School. Following high school, Troy attended Minot State University for three years.

Troy met the love of his life, MaDonna Stenvold while working at REM. They were married August 7, 1987, in Velva. They made their home in Minot. Troy was blessed to adopt MaDonna’s children in 1987. The family moved to Grand Forks in 1995. In 2000, Troy began working at Super Pumper Inc. MaDonna passed away November 8, 2012. In 2015, Troy relocated to Omaha and later Fargo, where he lived until his passing.

Troy was an animal lover, especially his cat, Highway. He was most proud of being a Papa. He will be remembered for his incredible stories, amazing sense of humor, and his passion for cheering on the Steelers. He will be missed by all who loved him.

His loving family includes: children, Jamie Selzler, Jessica (Jim) Dorsey; grandchild, Samantha Wilson; brothers, Tim (Kim) Selzler, Tom Selzler, Tony (Claudie) Selzler, Ted (Roxanne) Selzler, Tracy (Sandy) Selzler, John (Alison) Selzler; sisters, Robin (Barry) Deschamp, Susan (Mike) Blair, Mariann (Mark) Fiechtner, Jeanne (Tim) Haas; sisters-in-law, Judy (Ken) Haman, Joyce (Les) Cabler; brother-in-law, Ken Lill and numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmom Patricia; wife, MaDonna; siblings, Bonita Lill, Donna Selzler, Terry Selzler, Deanne Sullivan; infant brother, Baby Terry; his beloved cat, Highway.

Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, January 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service.
