Dianne Moen

Dianne Jean (Amundson) Moen was born on December 3, 1945 to Manfred and Grace (Mahlum) Amundson. She attended school in Stanley, ND and graduated in 1963. She also attended Beauty School and worked as a hair stylist.
On March 3, 1967 Dianne married Edward Moen. They lived in Nevada where she worked as an executive secretary at the Nevada Test Site when Edd was in the Air Force. They spent most years on the Moen farm by Plaza, ND and Dianne became a farmer’s wife. She drove whatever machine that needed a driver at the time- she could be at the helm of the combine/any large tractor or her Harley! When they started riding motorcycles they liked the area of Rapid City, SD and bought a house there. For many years they lived part of the year in each place.
Dianne had a passion for making everything better than when she found it, and enjoyed remodeling houses and landscaping yards. Dianne was known for her ambitious and generous nature in helping other people in any way she could. She had a great love for sewing, quilting, knitting, needlework, and made many beautiful things.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dianne on August 5, 2025 at her dream home in Rapid City, SD where she lost her battle with pancreatic cancer.
Dianne was loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband Edd, daughter Brenda, son Bryan (Nikki), two grandsons Van and Luc, sisters Marlys (Ruppert) and Arnetta (Don), many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family Brian and April Bacor and boys. Her parents preceded her in death.
There will be no service at this time. A day of remembrance will be held at a later date.
