Kena Davidson, 43, Minot, died Monday, June 16, 2025, at her home, after a courageous battle with kidney failure.

Kena was born on Aug. 28, 1981, in Jamestown, the daughter of Conrad and Karen (Mund) Davidson. She attended schools in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1999.

She attended Minot State University for a couple years, then began working in restaurant hospitality and landscaping while living in Chicago. Kena was blessed with the birth of her son, Crosby, in 2012.

Throughout her school years, Kena was active in theatre, Change of Pace, dance, and choir.

Since graduating, she continued to be active in the local theatre community, acting in MSU academic theatre, MSU Summer Theatre, and Mouse River Players. She also directed musicals for Make a Scene Kids (MASK).

Kena is especially remembered for her role as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls (high school), and as the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

She also was very proud of her role as Sister Amnesia in Nunsense (MSU), along with many other memorable roles.

Kena loved to sing and could sing very high notes. While she was driving with Crosby sitting in the back seat, they would often sing together on their drives. Crosby, as a preschooler, could sing harmony.

Later in her life, Kena was very active with creating bracelets, pens, and keychains for friends and family members. She touched the lives of so many people throughout her life.
