Wanda Ann Brandt, 90, Minot, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, in her home.

Wanda Ann Berdahl was born on August 29, 1932, daughter of Gilbert and Margaret (Harmel) Berdahl in Rugby, ND. She was raised and educated in Rugby, where she graduated from Rugby High School in 1950. She furthered her education by earning a Standard Teaching Certificate.

On March 30, 1951, Wanda was united in marriage to Melvin Brandt in Minneapolis, MN. They lived in various locations including Minneapolis, MN, Willow City, ND, and Minot, ND. Melvin died in 2007. Following his death, Wanda lived in Minot and Mohall.

She enjoyed sewing, selling AVON, teaching Sunday School, working at Herbergers, gardening and canning. Wanda was a member Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot, former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, of Willow City, Willow City Homemakers Club and the Bottineau Chamber of Commerce.

Wanda is survived by: Children: Daniel (Shirley) Brandt, Marlene (Jeff) Brake, Janel Brandt; six grandchildren: Terri Brandt, Cindy Brandt, Meghan (Dean) Brake, Andy (Kait) Brake, Ben (Roxanne) Tohm, and Randi Tohm; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; siblings Gilly (Lavon) Berdahl, Albert Berdahl, Robert (Annette) Berdahl, and Sharon Johnson; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and husband Melvin.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 4 until 6 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 10:30 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot.

Burial: Wednesday at 2 pm at Willow City Memorial Park, Willow City, ND.
