Victor Iverson

Victor O. Iverson, 91,
Minot, passed away
peacefully in his sleep on
Tuesday, August 23, 2022,
in his home.
Victor was born on De-
cember 30, 1930 on the
family farm in Berwick,
ND as the youngest of six
children to Erick and
Evelyn (Oppen) Iverson.
He graduated from
Berwick High School.
Shirley Blekeberg
caught his eye at a barn
dance and they were mar-
ried in 1952. He moved to
Minot in 1953 and worked
as a Route Salesman at
Sweetheart Bakery for 39
years. Victor and Shirley
continued to dance for 70
years of marriage. They
traveled across the United
States and Canada, enjoy-
ing fast polkas and new
places. As members of the
Northwest Polkateers and
Moose Lodge, they danced
most Saturday nights. Vic-
tor also enjoyed wood-
working, creating
children’s furniture, and
restoring antiques. He was
also a longtime member of
Christ Lutheran church.
Victor’s loving family
includes his wife, Shirley;
children: Lynn (Dave) Jen-
sen, Wade (Cheryl) Iver-
son, Kevin (Laurie) Iver-
son, and Joel (Karen) Iver-
son, eight grandchildren,
nine great-grandchildren,
and five
great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in
death by his parents and
siblings: Ernest Iverson,
Orrin Iverson, Chester
Iverson, Lavern Iverson,
and Lillian Bahl.
A memorial service will
be held on Saturday, Au-
gust 27, 2022, at 11:00
a.m. at Christ Lutheran
Church in Minot followed
by lunch.
Visitation: Friday from
5 to 7 p.m. at
Thompson-Larson Fun-
eral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill
Memorial Park, Minot,
ND.
Memorial donations can

to Christ Lutheran Church
or Metigoshe Ministries.
