Darin Johnson, 47, Vel-
va, ND, passed away
Thursday, August 11,
2022, in his home.
Darin Wayne Johnson
was born March 5, 1975,
the son of Robert and Dal-
las (Nissen) Johnson, in
Rugby, ND. He was raised
in Des Lacs, ND.
At the age of 18, Darin
started driving semi truck
for local farmers and
worked as a farm hand for
them as well. He then pro-
gressed to over the road
truck hauling throughout
North America followed
by crude hauling. He then
started working for Wilber
Ellis in the warehouse un-
til his health prevented
him from continuing his
employment. He enjoyed
his cats but loved most
farm animals in general.
Darin loved trees which
he could be found having
planted trees around the
family home. He also ex-
celled at landscaping and
gardening projects. Darin
was a handyman and
could fix just about any-
thing. He even built a
beautiful deck with his
dad.
Darin was a very loving
and caring son, brother,
uncle and friend.
His loving family in-
cludes: parents, Robert
and Dallas Johnson;
brothers, Larry and Ryan
Johnson, niece, Madilyn
Johnson and several
aunts, uncles and cousins.
Darin was preceded in
death by his grand
parents.
Memorial Service: Fri-
day, August 19, 2022, at
1:00 p.m. at Thompson-
Larson Funeral Home
Chapel, Minot, ND.
Interment: A private
family burial will take
place.
Visitation: Friday from
12 to 1 p.m. at
Thompson-Larson Fun-
eral Home, Minot, ND.
Memorials: Donor’s
choice in memory of Da-
rin.
