FARGO – Mya’s Mission Foundation Inc. announced it has accepted a Community Builder grant from the Offutt Family Foundation, an initiative supported by R.D. Offutt Co., parent company of RDO Equipment.

“Mya’s Mission is dedicated to enhancing community safety by providing free, judgement-free access to Narcan through designated Narcan boxes located around the state,” said RDO team member Beverly Hirn, who nominated the organization for the grant. “Having this lifesaving medication readily available can be the critical difference between life and death for someone experiencing an overdose; and can offer them a second chance to embrace life in recovery.”

Mya’s Mission stated the grant significantly enhances its ability to deliver high-impact overdose prevention, treatment support and mental health services. It strengthens the capacity to expand community Narcan distribution, assist individuals seeking recovery and advance Project 10-4, a program that provides mental health support for first responders and veterans.
