Robert Gunville age 79

of Dunseith, passed away

on Thursday, July 7, 2022

near Dunseith. His fun-

eral was be held on Satur-

day, July 9 ,2022 at 10:00

am at the St. Michael’s

Catholic Church in Dun-

seith.

Bob was born on

February 25, 1943 in Bel-

court, ND, son of John

and Helen Gunville and

was raised in Dunseith

North Dakota.

On June 30, 1962 while

on a weekend pass from

the United States Army,

Bob married Doris M

Delorme. They traveled

back to Alabama together,

after the wedding. Along

came their first son David

then, Bonnie 11 months

later. They moved to Dal-

las where he began weld-

ing school. They later re-

turned home to Dunseith

and Kerry, Rosie, Terry,

and lastly their Heavenly

Angels Mary & Sherry

were born.

After Doris’ passing,

Bob spent his later years

with his companion Betty.

Carolyn, and his Baby boy

Scott were added to the

family. Bob had a very

special bond with his lit-

tle Hemmie.

Bob served in the Unit-

ed States Army, after he

was Honorably

discharged, he chose the

path of a Union Welder

and Pipe Fitter of Local

300 and later on owned

and operated two busi-

ness; Gunville Construc-

tion and G&S Auto

Repair.

Bob moved to Summer-

set Court in Minot 2019

where he made many

friends. His favorite thing

to do when family visited

at Summerset was to

bring the great grandkids

down to the cafeteria and

pretend to pay for the free

ice cream. Anytime you

wanted to take him out to

eat Bob would say sure

wherever you would like

to go, he would pause and

say well how about

Denny’s. We all knew it

would be Denny’s. He

loved to give everyone

nicknames. His grandchil-

dren were all given a spe-

cial name.

Bob is survived by his

Children; David (Sheryl),

Bonnie (Jimmy), Kerry

(Zack), Rosie, Terry (Tif-

fany), Scott (Savanna) and

Carolyn (Willie). Special

nieces Connie, Patty and

nephew Gerard. Siblings;

Sharon (Marlin), Gerald

(Ann), Debbie (Darrell),

Mark (Val). 29 Grandchil-

dren and 20

Great-Grandchildren.

Bob is proceeded in

death by his daughters;

Mary and Sherry Gun-

ville, wife Doris M. Gun-

ville, special friend Betty

Delorme, parents John &

Helen Gunville, brothers;

Timothy, Richard, James,

sister Florence, 3 great

grandchildren; Jayden &

Kayden Gunville, Baby

Eddie Acosta and other

angel babies.

Arrangements were

with Nero Funeral Home

in Bottineau. Friends
