Home.
Having just turned 80
years old this past No-
vember 9th, Carol was
born in 1941, the
daughter of Carl E. Berg-
man and Dorothy M.
Bergman, former Owners
of ‘Bergman’s Cafe’ in
Kenmare, North Dakota.
Carol grew up in Ken-
mare and graduated from
Kenmare High, Class of
1959.
Upon graduation, she
moved to Minneapolis,
Minnesota where she at-
tended Business School,
resulting in gainful em-
ployment with the Moo-
dy, Moody & Plant Law
Firm.
In 1966, Carol moved to
Minot, North Dakot where
she had secured employ-
ment with the Minot Air
Force Base Records
Department and felt
called to serve in the
North Dakota National
Guard.
In 1978, Carol returned
to Minneapolis and at-
tended Stenography
School, resuming her
career ambition to work in
the Field of Law.
Carol retired in 2005
and relocated back to her
much loved hometown of
Kenmare, North Dakota,
rejoining the hearth of
dear family and friends.
Carol was preceded, in
death by: both parents
and a sister, Francis Berg-
man.
Carol is survived by:
her former husband, Dan-
ny Martin of Shirley, Illi-
nois; her son, Christopher
F. Martin of Minneapolis,
Minnesota; her brother,
Carl E. “Sonny” Bergman
of Longwood, Florida; and
her sister, Caren J. Camp-
bell of Santa Maria, Cali-
fornia.
A Special Service of
Remembrance is current-
ly being planned for the
summer of 2022, which
will be held in Kenmare,
North Dakota.
