Dorraine E. Lemon

Dorraine Evone Lemon,

86, Minot, died Thursday,

September 16, 2021, in a

Minot Assisted Living

Center.

Dorraine was born April

30, 1935, at Eagle Bend,

Minnesota, the daughter

of William and Freida

(Hertwig) Jahnke. She was

raised and educated in Ea-

gle Bend until her family

moved throughout Min-

nesota. They settled in

Park Rapids, MN, where

she graduated from High

School in 1953.

Dorraine was united in

marriage to Ray Lemon on

June 20, 1953, in Pons-

ford, MN. They made

their home in Minot,

where along with raising

their four children, she

was employed with Kmart

for several years, while

Ray was employed with

Burlington Northern Rail-

road. He died April 15,

2005. In 2018, Dorraine

made Elmcroft Assisted

Living Center her home.

Dorraine was a member

of St. Paul’s Lutheran

Church, Minot. She en-

joyed reading, puzzles,

traveling, word games and

tending to her garden,

especially flowers.

Her loving family in-

cludes children, Larry

(Marietta) Lemon, Minot,

Lisa (Ron Bennett) Nel-

son, Palmdale, CA, Lorri

(Allen) Martin, Drake, ND

and son-in-law, Wayne

Dutenhafer, Minot; grand-

children Chad (Heather),

Lance (Jennifer), Craig

(Miranda), Casey, Alicia

(Chad), Emily (Dalton),

Autum, Alexis, Stephen

(Mykal), Brock, Mike, Car-

rie (Jory), Amanda

(Bruce), Hannah, Logan,

and Garrett; great-

grandchildren Jace, Bro-

dy, Chloe, Jersey, Shiloh,

Max, Logan, Tyler, Brenna

& Peyton; sister, Betty

Stauffenecker, Babbott,

MN, and sister-in-law,

Barbara Jahnke, Braden-

ton, FL; several nieces,

nephews and cousins.

Dorraine was preceded

in death by her parents;

husband of 52 years, Ray;

daughter, Linda Du-

tenhafer; sisters, Diane

McCalister, Arlene Gjer-

stad, Arvella Wallenberg

and brother, Chet Jahnke.
