Linda Cooper

Linda Cooper, age 76,

went to be with the Lord

at Luther Manor in Sioux

Falls, SD on Wednesday,

July 14, 2021.

Linda Lou Orth was

born to Orlan and Esther

(Johnson) Orth in Rolette,

ND on March 14, 1945.

She was raised in Rugby

where she attended Rugby

High School. She married

Roger Cooper on July

30th, 1961. They made

their home in Westhope,

ND where they raised

their 3 children. She and

Roger owned and operat-

ed the Red Rooster

drive-in for many years.

She also worked at

Baumann’s Jack and Jill in

Westhope for a time. Lin-

da later moved to Minot,

ND where she was a

salesperson for Minot

Chrysler and she earned

several Salesperson of the

Year awards. Linda spent

a few years in Fargo be-

fore moving to Sioux

Falls, SD.

Linda was a member of

the Trinity Lutheran

Church in Westhope. She

enjoyed watching her

children and grandchil-

dren at all sporting

events. Linda was always

ready with a pot of coffee

and a listening ear.

So grateful for having

shared her life are: her

daughter, Tammy

Cooper-Mosser (Ken),

Sioux Falls, SD; sons: Jef-

frey Cooper (Tanya),

Westhope, ND and Kelly

Cooper, Fargo, ND; and

Sheri Cooper, Pelican Ra-

pids, MN; sisters: Eunice

Peters (Richard),

Chanhassen, MN and

Marge Orth, Minot, ND;

sister-in-law, Cheryl Orth,

Plymouth, MN; aunt

Delores Johnson, Rugby,

ND; 11 grandchildren, 14

great grandchildren and

many other family

members and friends.

Linda was preceded in

death by: her parents and

two brothers, Jerald and

Larry Orth.

There will a graveside

memorial service July

30th at 2:00 pm at the

Westhope Cemetery with

a celebration of life gath-

ering to follow at the

Westhope Country Club.

In lieu of flowers the

family requests that

memorial be given to the

Alzheimer’s Association.

We would like to thank

everyone for all of the

love and support we have

experienced during this

difficult time. Thank you

for all of your acts of

kindness, comforting

words, sharing memories

of our mom with us and

for all of the hugs! A spe-

cial thanks to all who

have traveled to share this

special time to celebrate

mom’s life! We deeply ap-

preciate it! Thank you for

keeping us in your

thoughts and prayers!
