Gerald “Jerry” Burgard

Gerald “Jerry” Burgard,

73, of Mulvane, Kan.,

passed away May 26,

2021.

Born May 5, 1948, in

Rugby, North Dakota, the

son of Michael and Mag-

dalena (Bachmeier) Bur-

gard, Jerry worked as a

truckdriver for 50 years,

and was a veteran of the

U.S. Army. He was a

member of St. Michael

Catholic Church.

He is survived by: his

wife Roxanne; mother,

Magdalena Burgard,

Bismarck; two sisters,

Darlene Blankenship and

Marilyn Deeter.

Jerry was preceded in

death by: his father, and

by one son, Brandon.

Visitation with the fam-

ily will be 5:00 to 7:00

p.m. Monday, May 31, at

Smith Mortuary in Mul-

vane. A Funeral Mass will

be 11:00 am Tuesday,

June 1 at St. Michael

Catholic Church. Memori-al contributions may be

directed to the American

Cancer Society.
