Geraldine “Geri” Olson,
76, Minot, passed away
Sunday, January 31, 2021,
at Trinity Homes in
Minot.
Geraldine was born De-
cember 30, 1944, the
daughter of Wilbert M.
“Wibby” and Eleanor
(Sonnenberg) Vise, in
Minot. Geri was raised in
the Burlington area and
attended most her early
school years in Burlington
Elementary School and
graduating from Minot
High School in 1963.
On Sunday evening,
May 17, 1964 at 8:20 pm
Charles “Chuck” Olson
and “Geri” Vise were pro-
nounced man and wife
and for more than 48
years, through sickness
and health, they were also
one. This union was
blessed with four sons,
Todd Oliver, Ritchie
Wayne, Nickolas James,
and Joseph Monore.
She had various jobs;
working at her father’s lit-
tle grocery, also the
Howdy Cafe and the Dels-
maskin Drive-in Burling-
ton; Minot’ KFC north and
south and for Trinity
Nursing Home before re-
tiring in 2010 due to ill-
ness. Each job was re-
warding to her because of
the wonderful people she
met and the great people
she worked for and with.
She was especially
blessed while working as
a CNA, caring for others
at the nursing home. She
missed the residents of 4
West most of all when she
had to retire because they
had become like family to
her.
Charles passed away
Saturday, December 8,
2012.
Her loving family in-
cludes:
Children, Todd (Sarah)
Olson, Rich (Tammy) Ol-
son and Joe Olson, Minot.
Brothers, Allen
(Yvonne) Vise and Rick
(Linda) Vise.
Granddaughters, Cassie,
Devin, Elizabeth, Kier-
sten, Mya and Amauri
Grandsons, Tyler,
Zackary and Jeric.
Brothers-in-law: Don
(Sandee) Olson, Robert
Olson, Ron (Taryce) Olson
and Peter (Jan) Olson.
Sisters-in-law: Ruth
(Mike) Odden, Joyce Ol-
son, Dorothy Olson.
Special nephew, Dustin
Vise, many nieces and
nephews.
She now joins her loved
ones who have preceded
her in death by husband,
Chuck, her son, Nickolas
James Olson, and her
parents, Wibby and
Eleanor Vise.
Celebrating the Life of
Geraldine:
Funeral Service: will be
held Thursday, February
4, 2021, at 1:00 pm at
Bethel Free Lutheran
Church, Minot, ND.
The family encourages
those attending to wear
masks and social distance.
Burial: Rosehill
Memorial Park, Minot,
ND.
Visitation: Wednesday
from 4 pm to 6 p.m. at
Thompson-Larson Fun-
eral Home, Minot.
