Sharron Seehafer
passed away on Saturday,
November 21, 2020 at
Souris Valley Care Center
in Velva, ND.
Sharron was born on
December 31, 1941 in the
Drake Hospital, Drake, ND
to Emil Sitz, Jr. and Agnes
(Stolt) Sitz. She spent her
childhood on the family
farm north of Drake. Shar-
ron attended country
school north of Drake
through the 8th grade and
graduated high school
from Drake Public High
School in 1959 as the
Valedictorian of her class.
She was dedicated to
serving the communities
she lived in and the
churches she attended.
Sharron was a member of
Immanuel Lutheran
Church, north of Drake,
Trinity Lutheran Church
in Drake, and First Luth-
eran Church in Harvey.
She was an active
member of Church Circles
and other groups and en-
joyed helping people in
any capacity. When resid-
ing in Drake, she was also
a member of the Drake
Public School Board, serv-
ing as president for
several terms. After her
children were grown,
Sharron spent 25 years
working as a tax preparer.
She worked tirelessly to
get her client’s tax returns
prepared accurately and
quickly. After retiring, she
did volunteer work for
services organizations in
Harvey.
On June 28, 1959, Shar-
ron was united in mar-
riage at Immanuel Luth-
eran Church, north of
Drake, with Nolan Leroy
Seehafer. The marriage
blessed them with four
children: Nanette, Jeffrey,
Steven, and Kevin. Shar-
ron was a loving wife and
mother for nearly 60
years. She loved to help
people and spoil her
grandchildren and great
grandchildren. She was
quick to play board
games, card games, and
play school with them
when they got together.
She also loved reading
and putting together puz-
zles.
Sharron is survived by
a daughter Nanette
(Kevin) Peuser of Fargo,
ND; sons Jeff (Ardie)
Seehafer of Winthrop,
Minnesota; Steve (Linda)
Seehafer of Drake, ND and
Kevin (Carolyn) Seehafer
of Minot, ND; brother
Dale (Jan) Sitz of Sun
City, Arizona; sister Janice
(Don) Templeton of Wel-
don Spring, MO;
brother-in-law, Lyle
Seehafer of China, Michi-
gan; sister-in-law Edie
Lindberg, Detroit Lakes,
Minnesota; 9 grandchil-
dren: Erika (Drew) Haata-
ja, Barnesville, Minnesota;
Brant Peuser, Minneapo-
lis, Minnesota; Lucas
(Aimie) Seehafer, White
Bear Lake, Minnesota; Ka-
telyn Seehafer (Grant
Kannegiesser) of Park Ra-
pids, Minnesota; Nathan
Seehafer of Winthrop,
Minnesota. Samantha
Seehafer and Sydney
Seehafer of Bismarck,
North Dakota; Megan (Dil-
lon) Neuberger of Minot,
North Dakota; and Macy
Seehafer (fiance Nick
Peterson) of Grand Forks,
North Dakota; and three
great-grandchildren;
Madison and Paige Haata-
ja of Barnesville, Min-
nesota; Jayden Neuberger
of Minot, North Dakota.
She was preceded in
death by: husband Nolan
Seehafer; father, Emil
Sitz, Jr.; mother, Agnes
Sitz; sister-in-law, Lovile
Kirchner; brother-in-law
Dean Kirchner; sister-
in-law Ellie Pennel;
brother-in-law Kit Pen-
nell; brother-in-law, Arlo
Seehafer and sister-in-law
Ruth Seehafer.
Visitation for the public
will be Tuesday, No-
vember 24 at Hertz Fun-
eral Home in Harvey from
4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Please be
observant of the Covid-19
restrictions including so-
cial distancing, hand sani-
tizing, wearing a mask
and staying at home if not
feeling well.
Private funeral services
will be on Wednesday,
November 25 at the First
Lutheran Church in Har-
vey and will be streamed
live at 10:30 a.m. Wednes-
day on the First Lutheran
Church Harvey Face Book
page.
Burial will be in the
Drake City Cemetery at
approximately 12 noon.
