Mabel Albertson, 94,

Minot, died Thursday,

November 19, 2020 in her

home.

Mabel was born August

22, 1926 in Minot, ND to

Harvey ‘Ray’ and Estella

(Benton) Myers. She was

raised and educated in

Tolgen and Shealy Town-

ship Schools of Ward

County near Berthold,

ND. Being the second old-

est of 14 children, she as-

sisted with the operation

of the family farm and

helped raise her younger

1957 in Minot. They lived

in Spring Lake Township

of Ward County, located

couple of years when they

relocated to a farmstead

near Surrey, ND in 1959.

They lived there until

1961 when they returned

to Spring Lake Township

1974 when they moved to

Max.

While in Max, Mabel

to Norwich, ND in 2000,

where they spent their

time watching grandchil-

and spending time with

loved ones. Gaillord died

on May 9, 2011.

Mabel had a heart for

children, which led to

opening her home to

many family members,

foster children, and

friends of the family. Ma-

bel was a woman of faith

first and loved to fellow-

ship with her peers while

attending Sawyer’s Cal-

vary Chapel, Minot’s First

Assembly of God, and

Minot’s First Church of

the Nazarene in her life-

time. She enjoyed making

lefse, crocheting, canning,

reading, and valued the

precious time spent with

her family. Her favorite

things to crochet were

bells for her grandkids for

Christmas, doilies for fam-

ily and friends, and ta-
