Shelly Rogstad, 61,

West Fargo, ND, passed

away on Wednesday, July

17, 2019, at her home sur-

rounded by family and

with Hospice of the RRV

following her long jour-

ney with cancer.

Shelly Alane Johnson

was born May 13, 1958, in

Stanley, ND, to Morris

and Helen Jean (Ellis)

Johnson. She grew up in

New Town, ND, and gra-

duated from high school

there. She attended col-

lege in Williston, ND, and

then moved to Bowman,

ND. She was married for a

short time and raised two

children. Shelly returned

to Stanley and married

Roger Rogstad on Jan 1,

1992. They lived in Stan-

ley before moving to the

family farm in 2005. She

worked at the Hardware

Hank, Dakota Drug and

later at the City Auditor’s

office, all in Stanley. They

moved to West Fargo in

2013.

Shelly loved spending

time with her grandchil-

dren and being a meticu-

lous homemaker. She also

enjoyed quilting, sewing,

watching sports, socializ-

ing with family and

friends and spending

winters in Arizona.

She is survived by her

husband, Roger; son,

Brandon Hauge of Stan-

ley; daughter, Lindsey

(Tyler) Nelson of West

Fargo; two grandchildren,

Jack and Dexx Nelson; fa-

ther, Morris Johnson of

Fargo; two sisters, Lynda

Morris of Durango, CO,

and Sherry (LaVern) Laib

of McClusky, ND; sister-

in-law, Marcia Johnson of

Minot; along with several

nieces and nephews.

Shelly was preceded in

death by her mother,

Helen Jean Johnson, and

four brothers, Donovan,

Barry (Sandy), Corry and

Lonnie.

Funeral: Friday, July

26, 2019, at 11 AM at

American Lutheran

Church at Stanley, ND.
