Finn Hellebust

99, Tolley, died Saturday,

June 29, 2019, at a Minot

hospital.

He was born Sept. 5,

1919, in Grover Town-

ship, Renville County, to

Alfred and Ingeborg

(Vasenden) Hellebust. He

was raised on the family

farm and graduated from

Tolley High School in

1939. He was drafted into

the U.S. Army and served

from 1942 to 1945 during

WW II.

Finn married Sava

Morris on June 24, 1948,

in Minot. He farmed for

many years in Grover

Township. He also

designed and built their

farm home. Sava died

Feb. 12, 2002.

Finn was a member of

Hamerly Lutheran Church

until it closed. He was a

current member of

Evangelical Lutheran

Church, Tolley. He was a

member of the Tolley

American Legion and a

former member of the Tol-

ley school board. He en-

joyed family and farming,

building bird houses and

putting puzzles together.

For many years, Sava

baked cakes for special

family occasions and Finn

would decorate them; he

enjoyed working with his

hands.

16 grandchildren and 27

great-grandchildren; and

nephews and cousins.

Finn was preceded in

death by: parents, Alfred

and Ingeborg Hellebust;

wife, Sava Hellebust; son,

Robert Hellebust;

daughter, Evelyn Hel-

lebust; sisters, Marie

Schouvillier, Mildred Ess

and Astrid Egeberg; and

brother, Knute Hellebust.

Funeral: 11 a.m.,

Wednesday, July 3, 2019,

at Evangelical Lutheran

Church, Tolley.

Burial: Hamerly

Cemetery, rural Sher-

wood.

a.m., Wednesday, at the

church.

Visitation: 2 to 7 p.m.,

Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at

Brose Funeral Home,

Mohall.
