Palmer August

Lindlauf, age 77,

Max-Benedict, ND farmer

and rancher, passed away

on June 17, 2019.

Palmer was raised on

the family farm northwest

of Benedict, ND. He at-

tended school in Benedict

and high school at Dakota

Lutheran Academy in

Minot, ND and college at

Wahpeton School of Sci-

ence and Minot State Col-

lege, majoring in Science

and minoring in German.

At the age of 19, Palmer

took over the family farm

when his father passed

away suddenly. In March

1964, Palmer and Helen

Hage, of Velva, ND, mar-

ried and their children

Jerry, Jacquelyn and Paula

joined them over the next

five years. Palmer taught

high school science at Des

Lacs, ND, Bishop Ryan in

Minot, ND and Max High

School, Max, ND span-

ning nearly 30 years of

teaching while farming

and ranching. Palmer en-

joyed flying his Piper

Cherokee, playing piano,

organ, and especially the

accordion. He enjoyed

entertaining at the retire-

ment homes with his ac-

cordion friends. Palmer

was on the Andrews

Township board for many

years and pianist organist

at Concordia Lutheran

Church in Benedict, ND,

for over 50 years.

Palmer’s surviving fam-

ily includes: his wife,

Helen, children, Jerry

(Heidi Ehr) of Eagan, Min-

nesota, Jacquelyn and

Paul Jacobson of Max,

ND, and Paula and Marlo

Huesers of Max, ND along

with grandchildren,

Christina Jacobson, Jacob

Jacobson (fiance Kacey

Koester), Cheyenne Jacob-

son, Whitney Huesers,

McKayla Huesers (fiance

Gavin Amdahl), and Cas-

sidy Huesers, a brother,

Curtis and Susan

Lindlauf; Aunt, Pauline

Stave Mason; and nieces,

nephews, cousins and

in-laws.

Palmer was preceded

in death by: his parents

Hans and Ida Stave

Lindlauf, grandparents

Peder and Clara Stave and

August and Hannah

Lindlauf, and several

aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Service to honor the

memory of Palmer August

Lindlauf will be held on

Saturday, June 22, 2019 at

10:30 am at the Max Civic

Center, Main Street, Max,

North Dakota.

Lunch and visiting will

follow.

A Private Family Burial

will take place at Bethania

Cemetery, rural Benedict,

ND.

In lieu of flowers,
