Cleone Bearman

T. Cleone Bearman, 90,

Minot, died Sunday, June

2, 2019 in a Minot care

center.

Thelma Cleone Bear-

man was born August 16,

1928 in Benedict, ND the

daughter of Everett and

Constance Simmons. She

was raised in McLean and

McHenry counties. She

graduated from Velva

High School in 1946. Cle-

one moved to Clark Coun-

ty, WA, where she gra-

duated with a degree in

cosmetology.

Cleone was united in

marriage to Donald A.

Bearman. They made

their home at Falkirk and

Coleharbor, while Donald

was an agent for the Soo

Line Railroad, an in-

surance agent and farmer.

Cleone was a member

of the Coleharbor PTA

and President of the

Lady’s Aid at St. Andrews

Lutheran Church in

Coleharbor. She also

served as Director of the

McLean County Red Cross

and was active in the Na-

tional Association of

County Mutual for five

years.

In 1961, Cleone and

Donald moved to Minot

following the purchase of

the Iver Canton Insurance

Agency. They renamed

the agency Donald A.

Bearman Insurance Agen-

cy. She worked alongside

her husband and son,

John, for over 32 years.

She was a member of

Christ Lutheran Church,

Women of Moose Lodge

and Eagle’s Aerie Auxili-

ary, all of Minot. Cleone

enjoyed playing bingo,

sewing and spending time

with her grandchildren

and great-grandchildren.

Cleone is survived by:

her daughter, Connie L.

Pflepsen and son, John P.

(Tricia) Bearman, both of

Minot; six grandchildren;

eight great-grandchildren;

several nieces, nephews

and cousins.

Cleone was preceded in

death by her parents, hus-

band Donald, daughter

Debborah; and sisters,

Blanche Rendahl and

Florence Zinn.

Celebration of Life ser-

vice: Friday, June 7, 2019

at 10:30 a.m. in Christ

Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation: At the re-

quest of family, there will

not be a viewing, however

friends may sign a

memorial register book on

Thursday from 3:00-5:00

p.m. at the Thomas Fami-

ly Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials are preferred

to Edgewood Vista

organization of the
