David Carmona

David M. Carmona, 65,

Minot, ND, passed away

unexpectedly Saturday,

April 6, 2019, at Trinity

Hospital in Minot due to a

brain aneurysm.

David Maldonado Car-

mona was born February

12, 1954, the son of Dario

and Soledad (Maldonado)

Carmona, in Reynosa,

Mexico. He was raised

and educated in Reynosa.

At age 19, he moved with

his mother and siblings to

the United States. They

made their home in Dako-

ta City, NE. David moved

to Minot in 2001.

He raised his 10 chil-

dren and loved them all.

David had many jobs

throughout the years.

These included: a meat

packing plant and most

recently as a card dealer.

David enjoyed playing

golf, playing pool, playing

cards, bowling with his

children and spending

time with his grandchil-

dren. Over the years, he

won many trophies play-

ing pool and money by

playing poker. He was a

very charismatic man,

who knew many people

and made friends every-

where he went. David al-

ways had a smile on his

face.

cludes: sons, David

Thompson, Noel Thomp-

son (Alyssa Breuer),

Angelo Thompson, Reno

Carmona, and Denver

Carmona; daughters,

Nicollette (Luke)

Lahtinen, Natalia (Eric)

Peters, Daniella (Loren)

Stolz, and Gabriela

(Derek) Haus; grandchil-

dren, Tristan Stolp, Eric

Peters Jr., Caius Peters,

Graham Thompson, and

Lander, Lucy, Kinsey and

Aimee Lahtinen; mother,

Soledad Maldonado Car-

mona; brother, Dimas

(Yvette) Carmona; sisters,

Diana Marquez, Dalia

(Paul) Heger, and Delia

(Evaristo) Hernandez; and

numerous nieces,

nephews and cousins.

David was preceded in

death by his father, Dario;

son, Tanner Carmona; and

sisters, Josefina and Maria

Carmona.

A Celebration of

David’s Life will be

Wednesday, April 10,

2019,at 10:00 a.m. at the

Moose Lodge, 400 9th St.

SW, Minot.

Private Interment:

Stanley Cemetery, Stan-

ley, ND, at a later date.

Visitation: Tuesday

from 4 to 7 p.m. at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot.
