Dale Reinhardt, 73,
Minot, ND, passed away
Wednesday, April 10,
2019, at the North Dakota
Veterans Nursing Home
in Lisbon, ND.
Dale was born June 11,
1945, the son of Ted and
Elsie (Meissel) Reinhardt,
in Hazen, ND. In 1958,
they moved to Minot,
where he attended Sunny-
side grade school and
then to Minot High where
he graduated in 1964.
After graduation he
worked various jobs.
Dale was drafted into
the U.S. Army on October
14, 1965. He proudly ser-
viced his country until his
honorable discharged on
September 27, 1967. He
served with the Headquar-ters 1st Battalion 48th In-
fantry 7th Patton’s 3rd
Armed division of the
U.S. Army. While being
stationed in Glenhausen
Germany, he was a heavy
truck driver, hauling all
types of munitions. After
returning from his mili-
tary duty, Dale went to
work for the Great North-
ern Railroad beginning in
1968, which became Bur-
lington Northern Santa
Fe. He worked for the rail-
road until 1983.
Dale inherited a love for
driving from his father, so
when the BNSF
discharged him for medi-
cal reasons he started
Dales Transfer in which
he was associated with
Cross Country. Dale
moved freight etc. from
Minot to all interlining
towns to Williston. He
sold the business is 1991
due to health concerns.
In December of 1968
Dale was united in mar-
riage to Sandra Gastufa-
son of Arnegard, ND. Sad-
ly, after about four years
their marriage dissolved.
Dale remarried in June of
1975 to Ellen Marmon
from Stanley, ND. Their
son Chad was born Febru-
ary 4, 1977.
Dale enjoyed auto rac-
ing especially NASCAR,
and going out to eat with
friends and relatives. He
liked to read which in-
cluded the Bible and
Western novels. Dale also
liked to watch the History
Channel, Animal Planet
and Science. He enjoyed
looking up at the stars and
taking in all the wonders
of our planet.
Dale was an active
member of Bethel Free
Lutheran Church and
Minot American Legion
Post #26.
Due to ill health Dale
moved into Minot Health
and Rehab later transfer-
ring to the North Dakota
Veterans Home in Lisbon.
Surviving family in-
cludes: his son, Chad A.
Reinhardt, Crosby, ND;
grandson, Gavin Roger
Reinhardt, Minot. He is
also survived by many
friends and relatives.
He was preceded in
death by: his parents, Ted
and Elsie Reinhardt;
brothers, Gilmor (Lois)
Reinhardt and Larry
(Jewel) Reinhardt.
Funeral: Wednesday,
April 17, 2019, at 11 a.m.
at Bethel Free Lutheran
Church, Minot.
Visitation: One hour
prior to the service at the
church.
Interment: Rosehill
Memorial Park, Minot,
ND.
