Helen Veronica Keller

Helen V. Keller, Minot,

was called home on Fri-

day, August 17, 2018 at a

Minot nursing home.

Helen was born on De-

cember 27, 1927 in East

Grand Forks, MN, the

daughter of Joe and Anna

(Boehm) Wald. She was

raised in the Surrey, ND

area where she spent her

early years working on the

farm and helping her

mom and dad. Helen was

one of 13 children and

remained close with her

siblings and their families

throughout her life.

On April 8, 1953 she

was united in marriage

with John Keller, Jr. at St.

Leo’s Catholic Church in

Minot, ND. Helen spent

the majority of her life liv-

ing in the home that John

built, raising their four

children. Helen was a

wonderful cook and

homemaker who cher-

ished her time with her

family. She found great

joy in the time spent with

her grandchildren and

great-grandchildren.

Helen had a wonderful

sense of humor and wit,

and was always quick

with a one-liner. She

loved playing cards with

family and friends. Helen

enjoyed arts and crafts,

especially embroidery and

ceramics. After church on

Saturday evenings, John

and Helen could be found

at the Knights of

Columbus visiting with

relatives. Sundays were

spent alternating visits

with extended families.

Helen was a woman of

unwavering faith and was

devoted to her daily

prayers and praying the

rosary. She was a lifelong

member of St. Leo’s

Catholic Church where

she belonged to St. Jude’s

Guild and St. Leo’s Con-

fraternity.

Helen was preceded in

death by parents; beloved

husband of 58 years,

Johnny; son, Rod; broth-

ers, John Wald and Andy

Wald and sisters, Regina

Klein, Appie Rademacher,

Ann Black, Leona Mosser

and Rose Schwan.

ND.

Visitation: Tuesday

by Recitation of the Holy

Rosary and a Vigil Prayer
