Janice Seehafer

Janice Elaine Seehafer,

age 81, died on Sunday,

May 6, 2018, at her home

in Piedmont, Oklahoma.

She was born on Au-

gust 19, 1936, near Drake,

North Dakota to Gustave

and Amelia (Beutler)

Strege. She was one of

twelve children. Janice at-

tended Drake High School

and graduated in 1954.

She lived in the beautiful

Drake countryside until

she retired in Drake. Jan-

ice was married to Virgil

Ellingson until his passing

in 1992 and then to Arlo

Seehafer until his passing

in 2000.

Janice enjoyed the sim-

ple pleasures of attending

church, playing piano,

baking, and watching high

school sporting events.

She also enjoyed caring

for children. In addition

to running a daycare, she

opened her home to

dozens of foster children

over the years.

Janice is survived by:

her three sons Quentin

(Stephanie) Ellingson,

Darren (Amy) Ellingson,

and Kendal Ellingson;

seven grandchildren; two

great-grandchildren; two

sisters, Carol (Leslie)

Gerber and Betty Horn-

bacher; a brother, Donald

Strege; and many nieces

and nephews.

Janice was preceded in

death by: her husband

Virgil; her husband Arlo;

her infant son Quincy; her

parents; her sisters Verna,

Ruth, Erma, and Hazel;

and her brothers Earl,

Alan, Ivan, and Edwin.

Services: The immedi-

ate family will hold a

private memorial service.

Interment will take place

at the Trinity Lutheran

Church Cemetery in

Drake, North Dakota.
