Trinity Health Foundation has announced the inaugural Healthcare Careers Scholarship Program and the 2026-2027 Nursing Scholarship Program will begin accepting applications on Aug. 1. The application periods will run until Nov. 1. Agreement reached in felony theft case

Court records show an agreement has been reached in the felony theft case involving Dallas Rice and a local archery club. Rice was charged in March in North Central District Court with one count of theft over $50,000 and one count of conspiracy to commit theft in excess of $50,000, both Class A felonies. According to the court affidavit, Souris Valley Bowmen board members discovered a large sum of money missing while investigating a bounced check in July 2025. BISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality has issued a harmful algal bloom advisory for Lake Tschida in Grant County, bringing the number of state waterbodies under an active advisory or warning to seven. Harmful algal blooms, also called HABs or blue-green algae, can develop quickly in warm, sunny weather. Some blooms produce cyanotoxins that can make people, pets and livestock sick if the water is swallowed or touched. An advisory means a bloom is present in portions of the waterbody. After more than 70 years as a CBS affiliate, KXMC-TV in Minot will no longer be airing CBS programming as of Saturday, Aug. 1. Nexstar Media Group, owner of KX television in North Dakota, said the North Dakota stations will switch to The CW Television Network. “In July, Nexstar completed a multi-year agreement with CBS to extend its affiliations in 36 markets.
