SWC approves Grenora project funds

BISMARCK – The North Dakota State Water Commission announced approval of more than $1.7 million in funding for water infrastructure projects across the state during its Oct. 8 meeting in Bismarck. The approved projects included Grenora water treatment plan improvement, $30,000. NDFB to hold annual meeting in Bismarck

BISMARCK – North Dakota Farm Bureau will hold its 84th Annual Meeting Nov. 20-21 at the Bismarck Hotel and Conference Center. The two-day event brings members from across the state together to set the organization's policy for the coming year, elect leadership and connect with others who share an interest in North Dakota agriculture. Rugby school voters to decide levy

RUGBY – Residents in Rugby Public School District will vote Wednesday, Oct. 14, on a 10-mill excess levy to support district operations. The measure requires a 55% majority for passage, and if passed, the excess levy would remain in place for 10 years. The ballot measure has been proposed to address future loss of state funding due to anticipated, continued enrollment decline and rising costs. The district has been reducing expenses in recent years and presented voters with information about $377,000 in possible additional cuts if the measure fails.

City landfill switching to winter hours

The City of Minot landfill will begin winter hours on Monday, Oct. 12, according to City of Minot information. During winter hours, the landfill will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The landfill is located at 4450 37th Ave. SW. The household hazardous waste drop-off site at the landfill will also remain open during winter months.
