Sprinkler system contains apartment fire
An apartment unit’s sprinkler system contained a fire that started from burnt food in a microwave on Tuesday, April 21, according to the Minot Fire Department.
At 3:30 a.m., the department responded to a report of smoke in an apartment. Firefighters discovered smoke from floor to ceiling inside the apartment. The building’s sprinkler system activated and contained the fire, which originated in a microwave and extended to surrounding cabinets.
