SRT plans yearlong events to mark 75th anniversary
SRT is planning a series of activities and events throughout 2026 to celebrate its 75th anniversary.
The telecommunications cooperative was established in 1951 to bring telephone service to rural north-central North Dakota. Since then, SRT has grown into the state’s largest telecommunications cooperative, serving more than 25,000 customers across more than 5,500 square miles.
Planned anniversary activities will take place throughout the year, with a focus on summer and fall events. Highlights include SRT’s annual meeting in June and a celebration tour through communities in the cooperative’s four service districts.
SRT is headquartered in Minot and employs approximately 180 people. The cooperative operates a fiber-optic broadband network throughout its service area and provides high-speed internet, phone services, and security and surveillance systems for residential and business customers.
Additional details and a full schedule of anniversary events will be announced throughout the year.
