BISMARCK – Former N.D. governor Ed Schafer will present at a free, virtual public conversation about civility, ethics and the future of democratic life, sponsored by The Study on Thursday, Jan. 15, at noon.

The hourlong Zoom event, “Restoring Neighborliness: Democracy, Community & Ethics,” is part of civic programming connected to ND250/America250, marking the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Larry Skogen, a historian and former president of Bismarck State College, will moderate, and the lecture will conclude with a question and answer session with attendees.
