Alzheimer’s Association hosts caregiver presentation
GRAND FORKS – The Alzheimer’s Association will offer a free, virtual presentation titled “The Empowered Caregiver: Supporting Independence” on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
This class will offer helpful ways to approach the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia using a person-centered approach. Supporting Independence focuses on helping the person living with dementia participate in daily activities, providing the right amount of support, and balancing safety and independence while managing expectations.
Registration is required by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-Dakota Chapter. The project is funded through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, Adult & Aging Services Section.
