November warmer, wetter than long-term averages

This past month of November, the average temperature was 31.8 degrees, which is 4.4 degrees above the 118-year, long-term average of 27.4 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau, weather observer at the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot.

He said the lowest temperature of the month was -10 on Nov. 30 and the high was 65 degrees on Nov. 15.

The total moisture for the month was 0.78 inches, which is 0.04 inches above the long-term average of 0.74 inches, according to Kraklau.

He said the total snowfall for the month was 7.9 inches, which is 1.8 inches above the long-term average of 6.1 inches.
